Remtema and Stewart Named Women's Indoor Athletes of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week Awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, WHAC SIDs have chosen Cornerstone's Jacie Remtema as the Track Athlete of the Week and Siena Heights' Emma Stewart as the Field Athlete of the Week. 

Remtema set a new school record with her B-standard mile time (4:58.07). She was also a part of the relay team that set a new school record in the 4x800m and hit an NAIA A-standard.

Stewart had another big weekend in the pole vault, finishing third at the Michigan Invitational with a mark of 4.08, an NAIA A-standard and the second best mark in the NAIA currently.
