2025-26 Women's Golf Preseason Coaches Poll Released

For the second consecutive season, Lawrence Tech has been selected by Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) head coaches as the preseason favorite for the upcoming 2025-26 season. 

Lawrence Tech is fresh off its first-ever WHAC championship and looks to keep the momentum going. The Blue Devils shot 939 as a team to edge UNOH at Stonehedge Golf Club to claim the title and a trip to NAIA Nationals. This year, LTU earned all 12 first place votes from conference coaches as it looks to repeat with a strong group of returners and newcomers alike. 

Close behind with 125 points are the UNOH Racers who had its streak of six-straight WHAC titles snapped a season ago. This year, UNOH will be under new leadership as Phil Gunder has taken over as head coach. 

The Cleary Cougars earned 113 total points and check in at third place in the preseason poll. Cleary had a great showing at the Spring Championship, shooting 981 as a team for a third place finish. They too look to build on that momentum as the new season quickly approaches. 

The fall portion of the Women's Golf season gets underway the week of August 25th. The WHAC Fall Preview will take place Sept. 28-30 at Stoatin Brea in Augusta, Mich. New this year, the Spring Championship will take place at The Player's Club in Yorktown, Ind. The 54-hole event will be played April 26-28. 

Poll Methodology: Each coach submits their rankings of conference teams and each team is assigned a point total (1 = 12, 2=11 etc.) which is tallied to determine the Preseason Poll.
