Indiana Tech and Rochester Christian Set to Compete in the NAIA Women's Basketball Tournament
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – [Video Announcement | 1st & 2nd Round Schedule Page | Bracket] The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced the teams and bracket for the 2026 NAIA Women's Basketball Championship First and Second Rounds, presented by Ballogy. The 64-team bracket will begin with the First and Second Rounds at host sites nationwide on March 13-14. The 2026 NAIA Second Round winners will meet in Sioux City, Iowa, at the NAIA Championship final site presented by Bomgaars and Sterling. The 45th annual championship occurs at the Tyson Events Center from March 19-24.

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) will have two teams representing it during the opening round of the 2026 NAIA Women's Basketball Championship. The regular season and tournament champion Indiana Tech Warriors earned an 11 seed and will head to Spring Arbor to take on the host No. 6 seed Spring Arbor Cougars. The Warriors and Cougars are set to face off on March 13 at 5 p.m. Indiana Tech is 2-1 all-time against Spring Arbor, but the two programs have not played since the 2013 season. Indiana Tech has a four-game winning streak and has won 17 of its last 18 contests.
Rochester Christian earned the conference's second auto-bid as the tournament runner-up. The Warriors will head to southern Ohio to take on the host No. 2 seed from Rio Grande. Rochester Christian and Rio Grande will tip off on March 13 at 6 p.m. Rio Grande enters the tournament with a 30-1 overall record and recently won its fifth-straight River States Conference tournament title.
