Indiana Tech Wins Fifth-Straight Regular Season Title
For the fifth-straight season, Indiana Tech Women's Basketball has claimed the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) regular season championship. The Warriors have now won eight of the last nine regular season titles. They concluded the 2025-26 with a 20-2 conference record and 23-5 mark overall. The Warriors will be the top seed in the upcoming WHAC tournament and will have home-court advantage throughout.
Rochester Christian checks in at second place with a 18-4 conference record and 19-9 overall mark. The Warriors put together one of the leagues biggest turnarounds after finishing 9-11 in conference action a season ago. Lourdes finished tied for third place with Aquinas, continuing their impressive run after winning the conference tournament a season ago. The Gray Wolves were 17-5 in conference and 21-7 overall. Aquinas also finished 17-5 in conference play, Lourdes holds the tiebreaker between the two teams and will be the three seed in the WHAC tournament. UNOH, Siena Heights and Cleary tied for fifth place with 12-10 records. Siena Heights will be the 5th seed followed by UNOH and Cleary.
Indiana Tech earns the first of the WHAC's two auto bids to the NAIA National Championships. The winner of the tournament, or runner-up if Indiana Tech wins, will earn the second bid.
The WHAC Women's Basketball Tournament is set to take place on high-seed campuses. Opening round action starts on Wednesday, Feb. 25 with semifinals on Friday the 27th and finals on Monday, March 2.
