UNOH's Thompson, Aquinas' Cline Named WBB Players of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Women's Basketball Player of the Week Awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, WHAC SIDs have chosen UNOH's Olivia Thompson as the Offensive Player of the Week and Aquinas' Emily Cline as the Defensive Player of the Week.

Thompson averaged 20.5 points per game in UNOH's 2-0 week. She scored 18 in a win over Madonna and followed it up with 23 in a victory over Defiance. Thompson shot 54.5% from the field and also added 13 rebounds and 13 assists.

Cline averaged 12 rebounds, 10 points, two blocks and two assists per game in a pair of wins for the Saints. The senior had three blocks and two steals to go along with 10 rebounds in a big win over Lourdes.
