Lawson and Decker Named WBB Players of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Women's Basketball Players of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

WHAC SIDs have chosen Alysia Lawson (UNOH) as the Offensive Player of the Week and Genevieve Decker (Indiana Tech) as the Defensive Player of the Week. Lawson led UNOH to a pair of wins last week, scoring 29 points in each contest. The junior guard became just the fifth Racer to surpass the 1,000-point plateau. She shot 49% from the field and grabbed nine rebounds to go along with five assists and five steals. Decker helped the Warriors to a 1-1 week, including a 91-66 win over Olivet Nazarene. The senior forward nabbed four steals and 22 rebounds in 66 minutes of action.
