Madonna Claims third-straight WHAC Regular Season Title

Madonna Claims third-straight WHAC Regular Season Title

For the third-consecutive season, fourth time in the last four, and 11th time ever, Madonna University has claimed the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) regular season softball championship. The Crusaders put together a 19-1 conference mark to claim the regular season title and the top seed in the upcoming WHAC tournament.

Indiana Tech finished in second with a 14-6 mark followed by Lawrence Tech (13-7) and Cornerstone (12-8) and UNOH (12-8).

The top eight teams qualify for the WHAC softball Tournament starting on April 24-26. New this year, the top two teams host double elimination four-team pods. The winner of each pod will play the following weekend in a best-of-three championship series. As conference champion, Madonna earns the WHAC's first automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round. The winner of the tournament, or the runner-up if Madonna wins, will earn the conferences second bid.
