Indiana Tech Claims Fourth-Straight WHAC Regular Season Championship
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - A battle of unbeaten squads went toe-to-toe in Indianapolis on the campus of Marian University on Friday night to conclude the 2025-26 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) regular season duals. Both the Indiana Tech Warriors and the Marian Knights entered the dual 6-0 in conference action with the winner set to earn the conference regular season title. The dual lived up to the billing and then some as the two squads exchanged blow after blow throughout the weight classes. The stage was set as the dual was tied 17-17 heading into the final match at 285. A late takedown for Indiana Tech's Ian Clifford sealed the deal and earned the Warriors the decision victory and a fourth-straight title and kept their conference dual record perfect.
The Warriors have not lost a dual match since the WHAC begin sponsoring a regular season championship for the 2022-23 season.
All attention turns to Fort Wayne next weekend as the Warriors are set to host the WHAC Conference Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 14.
