2025-26 Men's Volleyball All-Conference Honors Released
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its 2025-26 Men's Volleyball awards. All-Conference teams are selected by a vote of conference head coaches. First and Second Teams consist of 14 members each. The All-Freshman team consists of six players. Individual awards include Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Libero of the Year, Setter of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Champion of Character Coach.
Player of the Year: Thomas Dunkley, Bethel
Bethel's Thomas Dunkley becomes the first Pilot to claim Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors. The junior outside hitter was stellar all season long, helping Bethel to a 17-1 conference mark and the regular season WHAC title. A native of Las Vegas, Dunkley led the conference in kills (354), was second in kills per set (4.32), third in hitting percentage (.307) and fourth in total attacks (714).
Newcomer of the Year: Yegor Volkov, Lawrence Tech
For the second consecutive season, the WHAC Newcomer of the Year comes from Lawrence Tech. Volkov, a freshman middle blocker from Kazakhstan, made his presence felt in his inaugural season in the conference. He led the league in block assists (73) and was second in total blocks (86) and was fourth in hitting percentage (.367) and fifth in service aces (31). He's just the second Newcomer of the Year from Lawrence Tech all-time.
Libero of the Year: Brayden Moyars, Lourdes
Lourdes' Brayden Moyars has been chosen as the WHAC Libero of the Year for the second consecutive season. Moyars was second in the WHAC in digs (289) and third in digs per set (3.11). His efforts once again helped Lourdes to become one of the most efficient defenses in the conference. Moyars is the second player in WHAC history to earn back-to-back Libero of the Year honors and the first since 2020-22.
Setter of the Year: McGwire Eigenrauch, Bethel
Another junior from Las Vegas, McGwire Eigenrauch earns setter of the year honors for orchestrating the Bethel WHAC championship offense. He was second in the WHAC in assists (834) and third in assists per set (9.81). He was also a force at the service line, tallying 27 assists, good for 0.32 per set. His presence was also felt at the net as he boasted 47 total blocks. Eigenrauch is the first WHAC Setter of the Year from Bethel University.
Coach of the Year: Jose Viera Cerame, Bethel
In just his second season as the head coach at Bethel, Jose Viera Cerame was selected by his peers as the WHAC Coach of the Year. Cerame led the Pilots to a 19-5 overall record and a nearly perfect 17-1 mark in conference action. They Pilots have been ranked as high as eighth in the NAIA this season. Cerame is the first coach in Bethel history to earn WHAC Coach of the Year honors.
