Kilbert and Stovall Earn Weekly Honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its latest Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions and selected via a vote by the conference's sports information directors.

This week's honors recognize a first-place sprint finish against a deep field in Rochester and a fourth-consecutive weekly honor for a thrower who refuses to stop breaking his own records.

Track Athlete of the Week

Aaron Kilbert, Madonna

Senior Aaron Kilbert earns Track Athlete of the Week honors following an impressive showing at the Oakland University Elaine Leigh Track & Field Invite. Competing against a field of 22 athletes, Kilbert captured a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash. His winning time of 47.83 seconds proved to be the class of the event and continues to solidify Madonna's reputation as a premier destination for regional sprinting talent.

Field Athlete of the Week

Stuart Zachariah Stovall, Cornerstone

For the fourth week in a row, Stuart Zachariah Stovall has been named the Field Athlete of the Week. Stovall's dominance in the circle reached new heights at the Calvin Invitational, where he once again shattered his own school record in the Hammer Throw. His mark of 63.94m not only won the event but extended his lead as the No. 1 ranked hammer thrower in the NAIA. Stovall didn't stop there, also claiming first place in the Discus with a new personal record of 51.43m, comfortably hitting the NAIA "B" Standard.
