Syroka and Fewster Earns MLAX weekly honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its latest Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions and selected via a vote by the conference's sports information directors.

This week's honors celebrate a record-breaking playmaker at Indiana Tech and a dominant freshman specialist who owned the faceoff circle for Madonna.

Offensive Player of the Week

Cam Fewster, Indiana Tech

Cam Fewster earns Offensive Player of the Week honors after delivering the most productive stretch of his career. The junior attacker was unstoppable, totaling a massive 24 points across two conference victories. Fewster set new career highs in a win over (RV) Taylor, recording 14 points (5 goals, 9 assists), and followed it up with another 10-point performance (2 goals, 8 assists) against Siena Heights. In addition to his scoring and elite distribution, he added 7 ground balls and a caused turnover to help the Warriors' offense reach new heights.

Defensive Player of the Week

Elvis Syroka, Madonna

Freshman Elvis Syroka claims Defensive Player of the Week honors after putting on a masterclass at the faceoff "X." Syroka provided the Crusaders with a constant possession advantage, going an incredible 28-for-32 (87.5%) on faceoffs over two games. His dominance was on full display in wins over Michigan-Dearborn and Aquinas, where he also vacuumed up 14 ground balls. By winning nearly 90% of his draws, Syroka effectively neutralized opposing offenses and anchored Madonna's defensive transition.
