Houdaille Earns Men's Golfer of the Week Accolades

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its latest Men's Golf Player of the Week award, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information departments and selected via a vote by conference SIDs.

This week's honor heads to Howell as Axel Houdaille of Cleary University earns the accolade following a week highlighted by a tournament victory and a top-tier finish in a massive field.

Men's Golfer of the Week

Axel Houdaille claims Men's Golfer of the Week honors after delivering two stellar performances across two different events. Houdaille opened the week in dominant fashion at the Cleary Spring Invite, where he secured a 1st place individual finish. Competing on a par-71 course totaling 6,500 yards, he carded a blistering 4-under-par 67 to lead the field of 41 golfers.

He continued his high level of play at the Lourdes Spring Invite, navigating a massive field of 103 golfers representing 17 different teams. Houdaille fired a 2-over-par 74 on the par-72 course to earn a T-3rd finish. Between the two events, Houdaille averaged a 70.5, further establishing himself as one of the premier competitors in the conference.
