UNOH's Vargas Earns Second WHAC Golfer of the Week Honor

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Golf Player of the Week Award, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, WHAC SIDs have chosen UNOH's Jose Luis Vargas as the Men's Golfer of the Week. Vargas wins his second WHAC weekly award for finishing tied for second at the Music City Collegiate last weekend. He led the Racers to a third-place team finish and the third-best 36 hole team score in program history. The field included a host of top NAIA programs and Vargas shot a one-under 71 in the first round and followed it up with a five-under 67 to finish six-under 138.
