2025-26 Men's Golf Preseason Coaches Poll Released

For the fourth consecutive season, Lawrence Tech has been chosen by Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) head coaches as the preseason favorite. Each head coach in the conference ranks all of the conference teams to determine the preseason coaches poll.

The Blue Devils received seven first place votes following its second-straight WHAC title in 2024-25. Lawrence Tech has won four of the last five WHAC Men's Golf titles and looks to make it three-straight in 2025-26 under head coach Scott Marzolino. LTU shot 889 as a team to edge out second-place UNOH (892) at the WHAC Spring Championship. UNOH was predicted to finish in second place in 25-26 in the coaches poll and received four first place votes. The Racers received 125 total points following a great campaign a season ago in which they won the WHAC preview. Cornerstone, who finished third in the spring championship a season ago, checks in at third in the preseason poll for the second-straight year. The final first place vote went to Cleary. 

The fall portion of the Men's Golf season gets underway the week of August 25th. The WHAC Fall Preview will take place Sept. 21-23 at Stoatin Brea in Augusta, Mich. New this year, the Spring Championship will take place at The Player's Club in Yorktown, Ind. The 54-hole event will be played April 19-21. 

 Poll Methodology: Each coach submits their rankings of conference teams and each team is assigned a point total (1 = 12, 2=11 etc.) which is tallied to determine the Preseason Poll.
