2025-26 Men's Bowling All-Conference Honors Released

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced its men's bowling awards ahead of the WHAC Championships on Saturday, Feb. 21, at Royal Scot in Lansing, Mich. Winners will be honored during Saturday's event.

Bowler of the Year - David Schaberg, Aquinas College

Schaberg becomes the first WHAC Men's Bowler of the Year in Aquinas program history. The senior transfer from Concordia-Ann Arbor put together a stellar campaign for the Saints, winning the WHAC Great Lakes Open, finishing top-10 in the WHAC Michigan Open and top-15 in the WHAC Detroit Open. The Holt, Mich. native appeared in 11 of 12 WHAC games and totaled 2,408 pins, good for a 218.91 average. His efforts helped Aquinas to a fourth-place regular season finish and a trip to the conference tournament.

Newcomer of the Year - Hayden Tarris, Indiana Tech

Tarris made an immediate impact on the Indiana Tech Warriors regular season championship as a junior transfer. Tarris finished in the top ten at the Great Lakes Open and Greater Detroit Open and posted a top 20 finish at the Michigan Open. He finished the regular season with 2,097 total pins in 10 games, good for a 209.70 average and first team all-conference honors.

Coach of the Year - Tyler De Jonge, Indiana Tech

For the second time in his career at Indiana Tech and the first since 2023, Tyler De Jonge has been selected by his peers as the WHAC Coach of the Year. De Jonge led the Warriors to wins in three wins and one runner-up finish during the four WHAC regular season events. This is the fourth time in conference history a coach from Indiana Tech has earned Coach of the Year accolades.

Champion of Character Coach - Hayley Dann, Cleary
