Lourdes Claims WHAC Competitive Cheer Regular Season Title
Lourdes University Competitive Cheer claimed its first-ever Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) regular season title on Saturday at the third and final WHAC meet hosted by Madonna University. The Gray Wolves finished second at the event, with a team score of 85.73, to earn the five points it needed to secure the title.
The regular season is determined by a cumulative point total based on the team's finish in each of three WHAC meets. Lourdes finished second (five points), first (six points) and second (five points) to finish with 16. Madonna was close behind in second with fifteen points thanks to third, second and first place finishes. Siena Heights finished with 14 points (first, third and third place finishes). Aquinas, Cornerstone and Rochester Christian rounded out the conference regular season standings.
The regular season standings also determine the order of competition for the March 7th conference championships.
