Lourdes Claims 2025 WHAC Championship
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - For the third time ever and first time since 2018, Lourdes University has claimed the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Competitive Cheer championship. The event was hosted by Aquinas College.
For the first time ever, the WHAC hosted a three-event regular season for Competitive Cheer which was won by Concordia who won all three events. Lourdes was in second place in the regular season and utilized a stellar effort on Saturday to claim the tournament championship. Lourdes scored 84.63 in the prelims and followed it up with an 87 in the finals. That 87 was the highest final score of any team. Siena Heights, who finished third in the regular season, checked in at second place today thanks to a combined total of 84.67. Concordia finished in third with a prelim score of 83.78 and a finals score of 84.85 for a total of 84.59.
The win gives Lourdes an automatic berth to the NAIA National Championship which is set to take place March 28-29 in Ypsilanti, Mich.
