Mitchell, Ferguson and Grau Named NAIA Baseball All-Americans

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - (NAIA Release) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2026 NAIA Baseball All-Americans, along with Player and Pitcher of the Year honors, following the World Series last week in Lewiston, Idaho. Three WHAC student-athletes were named to the All-American lists. Aamir Mitchell (Madonna) earned a place on the first team while Cesar Grau (UNOH) and Jack Ferguson (Indiana Tech) earned places on the second team.

Mitchell, the WHAC Player of the Year, was dominant all season long. He finished the year with a .400 batting average and 1.415 OPS. He had 24 home runs, 18 doubles and four triples. He also stole 32 bases and walked 46 times. Mitchell's 24 home runs were fourth in the nation

Ferguson, a junior catcher, was sensational for the Indiana Tech baseball team hitting in the middle of the order en route to an NAIA Opening Round Appearance. Ferguson started in 57 games, hitting .358 with 15 home runs and 70 RBI. He reached base in over half of his plate appearances, good for an on-base percentage of .504. 31 of Ferguson's 67 hits went for extra bases. His slugging percentage of .690 led the team.

Grau, a Venezuala native, led the Racers in eight different statistical categories that included new single season program records for doubles and RBI. His 24 doubles were the third most in the entire NAIA while his 74 runs batted in put him 17th in the country. Grau drove in multiple runs a record setting 23 times this year with 128 total bases and 380 putouts on the defensive side, both top five all-time for a single season. He hit .404 and reached base at a rate of .504 over the course of the season, while slugging an incredible .681.
