Seman and Redmon Named Weekly Baseball Award Winners

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its latest Baseball Player of the Week awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions and selected via a vote by the conference's sports information directors.

This week's honors celebrate a table-setting performance from a Cleary veteran and a dominant, shutout effort on the mound for Indiana Tech.

Baseball Player of the Week

Brendan Seman, Cleary (Mich.)

(RS Sr., UTL - Sterling Heights, Mich.)

Redshirt senior Brendan Seman takes home Player of the Week honors after serving as the ultimate catalyst for the Cougars' offense. Manning the leadoff spot, Seman posted a remarkable .643 on-base percentage over a six-game stretch. He hit .500 (9-for-18) with four multi-hit games, including two perfect outings at the plate. His disciplined eye at the dish led to 7 walks and 2 hit-by-pitches, allowing him to score 10 runs and drive in 6. Seman also showcased his power with four doubles and two triples, finishing the week with a staggering .944 slugging percentage.

Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Noah Redmon, Indiana Tech

(So., RHP - New Haven, Ind.)

Sophomore Noah Redmon earns Pitcher of the Week accolades following a masterful performance on the mound. Redmon threw a complete-game shutout in a convincing 13-0 victory over Defiance, stifling opposing hitters from start to finish. Over 7.0 innings of work, he surrendered only three hits and a single walk while racking up 8 strikeouts. His dominant 0.57 WHIP and 10.29 K/9 performance provided the Warriors with a crucial victory and highlighted a breakout week for the young right-hander.
