Krawchyk and Gagerman Named Hockey Players of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Hockey Player of the Week Awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, SID's have chosen Cleary's Blair Krawchyk as the Offensive Player of the Week and Indiana Tech's Isaiah Gagerman as the Defensive Player of the Week.

Krawchyk scored three total goals in a crucial WHAC series with Indiana Tech over the weekend. The freshman scored a goal in Cleary's 4-3 win over Tech on Friday, then followed it up with a two-goal effort in a 6-5 loss on Saturday. This is his second Offensive Player of the Week honor this season. 

Indiana Tech's Gagerman earned Defensive Player of the Week honors for his play in the aforementioned critical series. He did it on both ends of the ice as he scored two goals and added an assist from his defenseman position to help Indiana Tech hang on to a one-point lead in the conference standings.
