Dell and Bazaluk Earn Hockey Player of the Week Honors
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Hockey Player of the Week Awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
This week, SID's have chosen Indiana Tech's Mason Bazaluk as the Offensive Player of the Week and UM-Dearborn's David Dell as the Defensive Player of the Week.
Bazaluk tallied nine points in a pair of conference wins over Rochester Christian last weekend. The freshman forward scored three total goals and added six assists in the big weekend for the Warriors.
UM-Dearborn's David Dell helped the Wolverines to a pair of WHAC wins over Aquinas last weekend. The junior defender was instrumental in a special teams unit that killed off all seven power plays the Saints had on Saturday. Dell also added the game-winning goal in a 5-4 win on Friday.
